Limestone, like marble, is porous in nature. The large pores allow the limestone to absorb liquids and other spillages more easily, so it needs a little extra love and care to keep it looking good over time. Wipe up stains immediately and treat with a mild detergent from time to time, and you will be able to enjoy a timeless, plain and natural worktop in your home for a long time to come. The popularity of limestone has increased dramatically in recent years for both kitchens and bathrooms. It's easy to understand why because only a few stones are as beautiful as limestone. It often contains fragments from shells and coral, which adds an interesting character to the stone.
